This is NOT a painted picture. The Guitar design depicted in this pen is painstakingly made by hand.
The finished product is made up of almost 40 individual pieces.
The wood sections are first cut by laser, then hand assembled in my shop.
The frets in the fingerboard are hand cut and placed from .003" aluminum shims, and silver rod is used for the dots.
Extreme care is taken to make sure every piece fits exactly as it should.
The detail will amaze music lovers! You can even see the guitar's certificate of authenticity through the sound-hole. The wood used for the hand inlaid design includes yellow cedar, curly koa, blackwood, and red dyed black ash burl.
The metal pen components are made of the highest quality titanium gold and black titanium.
I handcraft all my pens using only the finest materials available. I take time to make sure every detail is perfect. This pen has been sanded and polished in a 20 step process that leaves a strong and durable acrylic finish.
This pen uses standard Parker style refills, and I have upgraded from standard ballpoint ink to a Parker style black gel refill. The writing nib is extended by a simple twist of the pen.
